JOBHUNTERCOACH provides services to a wide range of professionals with backgrounds in areas such as: Technology, Software or Hardware Design and Architecture, Science, Financial Services, Human Resources, Marketing, Healthcare, Biotech, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Non-Profit.
Our services are tailored to three types of individuals:
- People who are currently working, but have reason to believe that their job may be in jeopardy. We help clients like this prepare to hit the ground running if/when it is necessary to begin an active job hunt. We create a new resume that reflects current accomplishments, skills, and a positioning statement. We discuss ways to take advantage of the current work environment to build a network of key supporters. We help our clients devise and have in place a jobhunt strategy that can be implemented whenever necessary.
- People who are unemployed up to six months. We help clients like this focus their energy on creating a purposeful, strategic jobhunt. We help determine where there may be a need for our client’s unique set of accomplishments, skills, education, and experience. We craft a resume, cover letter, and other personal messaging that will convey our client’s strengths and value proposition. We introduce the client to the hidden job market, and ways to access it for a successful search outcome. We provide ongoing encouragement, while holding our client responsible for his continuous jobhunting efforts.
- People who are experiencing long-term unemployment. We help clients to step back from their job search efforts in order to gain a new perspective. What’s working? What’s not working? We help our client to see him/herself as seen by others, and thereby determine when new messaging is necessary. We evaluate and revise resume, cover letter, and positioning statements. review target companies, and help to identify other potential employers. We coach clients on ways to improve networking skills and abilities, and how to utilize personal and professional contacts to give new life and enthusiasm to the jobhunt.
In every case, we listen carefully to the needs expressed by our clients, and determine together with them how to most effectively utilize our coaching services. Some individuals only seek a new resume, while others find coaching a valuable tool to utilize throughout a jobhunt.
